When a person is reported missing the police will only initiate a search if certain prerequisites are met.
As adults in full possession of their mental faculties have the right to freely choose their place of residence and do not have to account for themselves to anyone the police will only investigate in the event of the missing person’s health or life being at risk or in case of imminent danger.
This does not apply to minors though as their freedom of movement is restricted by law.
In some cases only a few details such as the missing person’s date of birth and a former residence suffice to trace their current abode.
Thanks to an international and Germany-wide network of contacts Fritsch Private Investigators are able to conduct local investigations.
